How to Add Special Allowance to the SalaryBox?
A special allowance is an allowance provided to employees to meet certain expenses. One example of special allowances is children’s education/hostel allowance.
If you need to add a special allowance to the SalaryBox app, the following steps can help.
Note that the special allowance provided to the employees will be calculated based on their monthly attendance and can be found in employees' salary slips.
1. Open the SalaryBox app on your Android device and go to Settings.
2. Select Salary Settingson the next screen.
3. Then, tap on Manage Salary (CTC Template).
4. Click on Create Template.
5. Then, enter the details like the Template Name and the basic salary percentage.
6. Tap on Add Allowances below the basic salary percentage.
7.Then, choose Special Allowancefrom the pop-up.
8. Click on Save to add the field.
9. Enter the special allowance percentage and fill in other fields such as PT, ESI, EPF, etc., if required.
10. Once done, click on Create Template to save the new template.

1. Once you open the SalaryBox app on your iPhone, select the employee you want to add a special allowance.
2. Tap on the three dots icon at the top right corner.
3. Then,select Edit Employee.
4. Scroll to the Salary Payment Info and click on Edit ESI, EPF, and Allowance.
5. Tap on Add Allowance under Earning section.
6. Then, click on the Special Allowance checkbox.
7. Select Add at the bottom, and the special allowance will be added.
8. Fill in the basic salary and special allowance per month.
9. Click on Update for the final save.
1. Open the SalaryBox desktop application and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to the Salary Settings and select Create Salary Template.
3. Click on Create Salary Template again on the next page.
4. Name the template and enter the basic salary percentage.
5. Click on Add Allowance and select Special Allowance from the list.
6. Enter the special allowance percentage and fill in other fields such as EPF, ESI, PT, etc., if necessary.
7. Once all required fields are filled, click on Save to create the template.
