How to Add Meal Allowance in SalaryBox?
It is a type of allowance provided by the employer for food during working hours or via pre-paid cards or coupons.
If you offer such an allowance to your employees and want it to be calculated in every wage period, you can do it using the SalaryBox app.
Follow the steps given below to add meal allowance to the salary template.
Note:The meal allowance will depend on employees' attendance and thus will be calculated on its basis. Employees can also check their meal allowance details on their salary slips.
1. Go to the app Settings, once you open the SalaryBox app on your Android device.
2. Choose Salary Settings.
3. Then, select Manage Salary (CTC Template).
4. Now, click onCreate Template.5. Name the Template and add the basic salary percentage.
5. Now click on Add Allowances.
6. After that, tap on Meal Allowance from the list.
7. Click on Save to save the record.
8. Enter the Meal Allowance percentage as per your set standards.
9. You can also add PF, PT, ESI, etc. if needed, and then click on Create Template.
It will create a new template that you can set for the employees you want to give meal allowance to.
To know how to set up the created template, you can follow the steps mentioned in this article.
1. Once you open the SalaryBox app, tap on the employee name to which you want to add a meal allowance.
2. Click on the three dots icon at the top right corner.
3. Then, select Edit Employeefrom the appeared list.
4. Go to the Salary Payment Info and choose Edit ESI, EPF, and Allowance.
5. Select Add Allowance under Earning section.
6. Then, tap on the Meal Allowance checkbox.
7. Click on Add at the bottom, and the meal allowance will be added.
8. Enter the basic salary and meal allowance per month.
9. Now, click on Update to save it.
1. Click on Settings from the left sidebar once you open the SalaryBox desktop app.
2. Scroll down to the Salary Settings and select Create Salary Template.
3. Again, click on Create Salary Template.
4. Namethe template and enter the basic salary percentage.
5. Then, click on Add Allowance and select Meal Allowance from the appeared list.
6. Enter the meal allowance percentage, and you can also set PT, EPF, ESI, etc. if required.
7. Click on Save to save the template.
