What is QR Code Attendance?

QR Code attendance allows employees to mark their attendance by scanning the QR code.


If your employees are uncomfortable clicking their pictures when marking attendance, you can use the QR Code for attendance management. You can print and paste a QR code in your office, and employees can scan it to mark their attendance using their phones.


Note that the employees can only punch in or mark their attendance after scanning the QR code. Once done, the punch-in time will be recorded.


If you want to know how to set up QR code attendance in the SalaryBox app, follow the steps below.


How to enable QR Code Attendance?

Android

1. Open the SalaryBox app and go to the app’s Settings. 


Click on settings

2. Click on Attendance & Leaves.

3. Turn on the toggle in front of QR Attendance.

4. Click on Show QR Codes from the pop-up, and different QR codes will be displayed for different branches.

now select the QR code where different QR codes will appear for different branches for enabling QR code attendance in android version of salarybox


5. You can print the QR code by selecting the Print QR Code option.

6. You can also refresh the QR code by clicking on Refresh QR Code, which will generate a new QR code.


You can refresh QR code to get a new one.


6. If you selected Print QR Code, click on Print to download the QR or click on Share to share it via Whatsapp.

Note that the older QR will not allow employees to mark attendance once you refresh the QR code. 

Thus, if you refresh the QR code, don't forget to print it.



iPhone

1. Open the SalaryBox app on your iPhone device and go to Settings.

2. Scroll down to the Attendance Settings. Then, click on the toggle next to QR Code Attendance.scroll down to the attendance setting and click on the toggle next to QR code attendance in iOS version of salarybox

3. Click on Show QR Codes, and the QR codes will be generated for all of your branches.Click on show QR codes and then QR codes will be generated for all branches in iOS version of salarybox

4. Click on Generate QR Code to open the QR code.click on generate the QR code to open the QR code in iOS version of salarybox as shown in the image

4. Click on Print QR Code.

5. Then, select Open and screenshot the appeared QR code.  

6. You can click on Refresh QR Code to generate a new QR for any branch. click on the print QR code and then QR code will be generated automatically in iOS version of salarybox

7. You can share the QR code by clicking on Share. 

now you can share the QR code by clicking on the share button in iOS version of salarybox


Make sure to download and print the QR code if you refresh it. Your employees cannot mark attendance on the old QR code if you have refreshed it.



Desktop

1. Open the SalaryBox desktop application, and go to Settings.

2. Scroll down to Attendance & Leaves section.

3. Turn on the toggle in front of the QR Code Attendance.
in the desktop version of salarybox, go to setting and click on the attendance & leave section where you can enable QR code attendance feature

4. Then, click on Okay to confirm. Now just click on Okay button to confirm the QR code attendance in desktop version of salarybox


Note that you can only enable QR Attendance via a desktop application. To generate a QR code, follow the Android and iPhone steps above.
