How to Add Medical Allowance in the SalaryBox?

What is Medical Allowance?

Medical allowance is an amount paid to employees for their medical needs. It is one of the important types of allowance paid by most companies. If you provide medical allowance to your employees, you can add it to the SalaryBox application.

How to Add Medical Allowance in the SalaryBox?

Follow the steps to add medical allowance in the SalaryBox on your preferred device.

However, note that the medical allowance will depend on employees' attendance and thus will be calculated on its basis. In addition, employees can also check their medical allowance on their salary slips.

Android

1. Open the SalaryBox app and go to Settings. Go to settings

2. Select Salary Settings.

3. Then tap on Manage Salary (CTC Template).

4. As the new screen opens, click on Create Template.

5. Then, name the template and add the basic salary percentage. Click on basic salary percentage

6. Now, click on Add Allowances.

7. Select Medical Allowance from the appeared list.

8. Select Save to add the field.

9. Enter the Medical allowance percentage and other fields like EPF, PT, ESI, etc., if you provide them.

10. Click on Create Template, and you’re done.

iPhone

1. Select the employee you want to add a medical allowance for as you open the SalaryBox app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on the three dots icon at the top right corner.

3. Once a list opens, click on Edit Employee.

4. Go to the Salary Payment Info and select Edit ESI, EPF, and Allowance.

5. Click on Add Allowance under Earning section.

6. Then, click on the Medical Allowance checkbox.

7. Select Add at the bottom and the medical allowance will be added.

8. Fill in the basic salary and medical allowance per month.

9. Click on Update to save it.

Desktop

1. First, open the SalaryBox desktop application and click on Settings.

2. Scroll to the Salary Settings section and select Create Salary Template.

3. Click on Create Salary Template again.

4. Then, enter the template name and the basic salary percentage.

5. Select Add Allowance and click on Medical Allowance from the list.

6. Enter the medical allowance percentage and set other fields like ESI, EPF, PT, etc., if required.

7. Now click on Save and save the template.
