This approach is especially useful for roles involving fieldwork or contractual tasks, such as sales. For instance, if an employee sells products, their payment can be calculated based on the number of items sold.

How to Set Up Work Basis Pay
Setting Up Work Basis Pay on the Web:
Navigate to Payroll: Click on Payroll in the leftmost column.
Run Payroll: Select Run Payroll from the dropdown.
Select Month: Choose the relevant month for payroll processing using the filters.
Select Employee: Click on the employee's name to set up payment.
Choose Payment Type: Select Work Basis Payment.
Add Work Basis Pay: Click on Add Work Basis Pay.
Select Category: Click on Select Category, then Add Category, and choose the appropriate category.
Select Item: Click on Select Item, then Add Item, and choose the relevant item.
Input Rate per Unit: Enter the rate of payment for each unit sold.
Specify Quantity: Indicate the number of units sold in the Quantity section.
Enter Payment Date: Specify the date when payment will be made.
Add Notes (optional): Include any additional details or terms related to the payment.
Save Payment: Click on Save Work Basis Payment to finalize.

Search Employee: Tap on the employee’s name.
Access Salary: Click on Salary (between Attendance and Notes).
Add Work Basis Pay: Tap on Work Basis Pay > Add Work.
Select Category: Tap on Category, then Add Category, and select the desired category.
Select Item: Tap on Item, then Add Item, and choose the appropriate item.
Enter Rate: Add the rate per unit.
Specify Quantity: Indicate the number of units sold.
Enter Payment Date: Specify the payment date.
Add Notes (optional): Include any additional details if needed.
Save Work: Tap on Save Work to complete the setup.

In this example, the employee would earn ₹24,000 for selling 12 pairs of formal shoes at the specified rate. The setup will also include payment dates and any relevant notes regarding the terms of the agreement.
