Roles and Access in SalaryBox App/Web.

What is an Employee?

An Employee can mark attendance for the current day and view personal details such as work timings, attendance modes, and automation rules. Additional permissions (if allowed by the admin) include:
  • Accessing monthly attendance records
  • Viewing holiday lists
  • Requesting leaves
  • Setting reminders and alarms
  • Saving personal documents


What is a Branch Admin?

A Branch Admin has extensive control over branch or departmental operations and is also classified as an Employee. Key responsibilities include:
  • Attendance Management: View and edit attendance records, and enroll faces for AI Face Recognition (on Android only), but no access to scheduling, or branch/department creation.
  • Live Tracking: Track staff (Android users only) in real-time and download reports.
  • Leave Management: Approve or reject leave requests.
  • Payroll Management: Process payroll for employees, though access to salary settings (e.g., period types, attendance cycle, salary data import, or templates) is restricted.

How to add a Branch Admin?

On Web
  • Go to My Team > Search and select the Employee > User Permissions > Select Branch Admin
    OR
  • Navigate to Settings > Employees and Managers > Search Employee > Edit Role > Select Branch Admin
On App
  • Go to Home > Search and select the Employee > Edit (top-right) > User Permissions > Select Branch Admin
    OR
  • Open Settings > Users and Permissions > Employees and Managers > Search Employee > Edit Role > Select Branch Admin


What is an Attendance Manager?

An Attendance Manager is an Employee role allowing the marking of attendance for the current day within their branch or department.

How to add an Attendance Manager?

On Web
  • Go to My Team > Search and select the Employee > User Permissions > Select Attendance Manager
    OR
  • Navigate to Settings > Employees and Managers > Search Employee > Edit Role > Select Attendance Manager
On App
  • Go to Home > Search and select the Employee > Edit (top-right) > User Permissions > Select Attendance Manager
    OR
  • Open Settings > Users and Permissions > Employees and Managers > Search Employee > Edit Role > Select Attendance Manager


What is an Advanced Attendance Manager?

An Advanced Attendance Manager can mark attendance for both the present day and modify previous attendance records within their branch or department. This role is also considered an Employee.

How to add an Advanced Attendance Manager?

On Web
  • Go to My Team > Search and select the Employee > User Permissions > Select Advanced Attendance Manager

  • Navigate to Settings > Employees and Managers > Search Employee > Edit Role > Select Advanced Attendance Manager
On App
  • Go to Home > Search and select the Employee > Edit (top-right) > User Permissions > Select Advanced Attendance Manager

What is a Chartered Accountant?

A Chartered Accountant has access only to download reports and does not hold Employee status.

On App
  • Go to Settings > Users and Permissions > Chartered Accountant > Add Chartered Accountant > Enter Name and Phone Number > Tap on Add Chartered Accountant
