Why Do You Need Live-Track?

If your employees work in the field, you might need to track their live location during working hours.

To determine your employee’s live location, you can send them a request via the SalaryBox Live Location.The feature will track your employees' location during working hours or till 12 hours after they punch in. However, you can only track employees' live location if they allow it on their phones.

If you want to know how to live-track your employees, follow the steps below. Note that the live request can be sent only via Android and Desktop apps. Also, the live location tracker does not work for employees having iPhones.

Disclaimer:When an employee allows to track their location, they can check the location-sharing alert in their phone's notification bar.

How to Live-Track your employees?

To enable the feature, check the steps given below.

Android

1. Open the SalaryBox app and tap on the employee name you want to livetrack.

2. Select Live Location, and the maps will appear.

3. Click on Start Live Track at the bottom of the screen.

4. Select Request Live Location from the pop-up, and the request will be sent to the employee.

5. Once an employee approves the request, you can track their live location.

6. If the employee doesn’t approve the request, you can call the employee by clicking Call The Employee and ask them to accept the request.

7. You can check the employee information from the tab below, such as theLast Updated timeand requestStatus.

8. You can also download an employee’s location report by going to History.

9. Click onDownload Report to get the report.

Desktop

1. To request the employee’s live location from a desktop app, click on Live Location on the left sidebar.

2. A search box and the maps will appear. Click on the search box and enter the employee name you want to live-track.

3. Select the employee name from the drop-down.

4. Then, click on Start Live Track.

5. Click on Start Live Track again, and tap onRequest Live Location.

6. Note that the employee will have to accept the request so the employer can track their live location.

7. If you want to check their location history, select the date next to the Start Live Track button.

8. Click on CSV Report, and all past records will be downloaded.
